The goal of this project was to redesign an existing album cover using photography and typography to convey the album's meaning and the themes present in the songs.
CONCEPT exploration
The album Sweetener explores finding positivity in tough times. It touches on failed relationships, amicable breakups, and life events. To visually represent this theme, instead of tears running down someone’s face, the use of honey substitutes it. The honey symbolizes the "good" aspect, as crying is often associated with sadness.
