Melod is an unapologetic and empowering cultural publication that criticizes sexism within the music industry and celebrates the achievements of women that usually goes unnoticed. It exists for music lovers and to uplift others to pursue their passions.

The publication, Melod is an unapologetic and empowering cultural publication that criticizes sexism within the music industry and celebrates the achievements of women that usually goes unnoticed. It exists for music lovers and to uplift others to pursue their passions.

The initial phase of the design process involved selecting the key words to be associated with my publication:

Wordmark Iterations

The name of the publication initially started as 'bona fide,' but as the sketching progressed, I switched to the musically inspired 'melody’ which shortened to ‘melod’. Then, I created digital iterations, documenting the process of refining the wordmark through various adjustments.

Layout iterations

This iteration process involved experimenting with different image frames, curved type, and various typefaces, ultimately arriving at a layout that encapsulated the concept statement.
